Dr Coleen has over 16 years of clinical experience evaluating the pediatric population. Prior to becoming a physician, she worked as a physical therapist treating infants and children in varying critical care and rehabilitation settings. After completing her medical degree at Drexel College of Medicine, she attended Mt. Sinai, NYC and the University of Maryland for her residency and fellowship training.

I specialize in the mental health needs of children, adolescents and young adults. I focus on the evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of mood and anxiety disorders, behavior problems, school difficulties, attention issues and autism spectrum disorders.

I work with my patients using eclectic approaches, including Hypnosis, Gestalt, Psychodynamic and Cognitive techniques, I have had extensive training and experience in Experiential Therapies (Gestalt and Ego-State Therapy), and Hypnosis. I work with medications/supplements when appropriate.

I'm a child and adolescent psychiatrist, and work with young children through young adults needing medications to treat psychiatric conditions, including: developmental disorders, depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, ADD/ADHD, OCD, PTSD and other mood and anxiety-related conditions. I believe close collaboration with parents and other treatment providers is necessary to ensure children and adolescents get the best psychiatric care possible.
