As a certified Mental health care provider, her role includes a wide range of mental health services to patients across a life. She is experienced and competent to provide a full range of primary mental health services, including biopsychosocial assessment and diagnosis of patients with mental illness. I am a certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with seven years of extensive experience in psychiatric nursing. My background includes working in both child and adult inpatient settings, as well as providing care in community mental health crisis stabilization and substance abuse treatment programs. After earning my Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Grand Canyon University, I immediately began my career in psychiatric nursing at an inpatient hospital. I am the Medical Director at a community mental health crisis stabilization and substance abuse treatment center and the Outpatient Mental Health Center.

Dr. Angela Mackay, known to many as Dr. Mackay, completed her educational career at Walden University. While gaining clinical experience with Dr. Umaru Kamara at Axios Behavioral Health in La Plata, Southern Maryland. She has over 20 years of experience in a variety of specialties in inpatient and community healthcare settings including but not limited to psychiatry and brain injury. She was awarded Nurse of the Year by March of Dimes in 2015 as well as an individual national award by APNA in the same year. While my primary headquarters is located in MD, I have recently expanded to DC and California.
