Laura Young is a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in Kansas who has been practicing since 2021. Laura was born and raised in Kansas. Her post high school education began at Kansas City Kansas Community College, obtaining her Associates of Science in Nursing in 2009 at the young age of 20 years old on a presidential scholarship awarded from high school. She then went on to working as a bedside nurse for over 12 years. Laura went back to college, obtaining her Baccalaureate of Science in Nursing from MidAmerica Nazarene University in 2018 while working.

Anaya Kole is a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in Kansas who has been practicing since 2022. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry through the University of Missouri-Kansas City (2012) and continued with her education earning a Bachelor of Science in Nursing through Saint Luke's College of Health Sciences in 2016. This led Anaya to pursue and earn a Master of Science in Nursing (Family Nurse Practitioner) through Saint Luke's College as well, graduating in 2019.

I provide medication management to children, adolescents, and adults 18+ years of age at Alive Family Psychiatry in Leavenworth, KS. Angela Armstrong, RN, MSN, PMHNP-BC, is a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She holds Master of Science in Nursing degrees in both Psychiatric Nursing and Nursing Education. She has been working in healthcare since 2007 in a variety of settings including infection control, public health, and long-term care. She provides interventions, treatment, and holistic support to clients across the lifespan with acute, chronic, and substance-induced mental illness. Angela’s approach is to provide high-quality, client-focused care to meet the unique needs of each client.

Welcoming New Patients! Frances (Fran) Miller APRN, PMHNP-BC, FNP NP-C. Fran holds dual board certifications as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She provides mental health services including diagnosis and medication management for children, teens, and adults. Fran will work with you to meet your mental health goals in a dignified and respectful manner. She is passionate about educating her patients and their families about their diagnoses, medications, and treatment plans. Fran strives to give compassionate care in a friendly, comfortable setting to the community she serves.

I treat a variety of patients but they typically have at least a few things in common- their symptoms are unmanageable and oftentimes they have had difficulties with medications in the past. Every single patient is unique, from their symptoms to medication response. I work hard to meet my patients halfway to help manage their symptoms and reach their highest potential.

I work with clients to increase their understanding of the thoughts and behavior patterns they have today. I use a multifaceted approach to walk clients through their life experiences lived so far in hopes to bring honor and restoration to those experiences, which is often referred to as their “story”. Diane Gaunt is a board certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over 20 years' experience. She graduated from Wichita State University with her MSN in 1990 and provides initial psychiatric consultations for diagnostic purposes, along with psychiatric medication management. Diane primarily treats adult and geriatric patients with anxiety disorders and mood disorders. She also treats other conditions, including PTSD, attention deficit disorder, and psychiatric problems associated with dementia.
