Taking New Patients: I am a Board Certified Primary Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC), with many years in community mental health, inpatient care, substance abuse, and private practice. I provide mental health medication evaluations as well as medication management. I work with patients across the life span. I provide a holistic approach when it comes to my patient's mental health needs.

Mental health issues vary widely from anxiety and depression to complex mood and developmental disorders, each carrying unique challenges and needs. The overarching goal in psychiatric care is to alleviate distress and enhance functioning through individualized treatment plans. This typically involves a combination of medication management to address biological aspects and therapeutic interventions to tackle behavioral and emotional facets. Patients' needs also include understanding their conditions, reducing stigma, and integrating coping strategies into daily life.

I am a dual board certified in Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner. I received my Bachelor of Science Nursing from The University of Oklahoma in 2006. I have worked in several acute mental care units and critical care units prior to pursuing graduate studies. I received my Master of Science in Nursing in Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner from University of Cincinnati in 2019 and Certification in Psychiatric Mental Health (PMHNP) from Saginaw Valley State University in 2021.

She provides mental health services including diagnosis and medication management for children, teens, and adults. Fran will work with you to meet your mental health goals in a dignified and respectful manner. She is passionate about educating her patients and their families about their diagnoses, medications, and treatment plans. Fran strives to give compassionate care in a friendly, comfortable setting to the community she serves.

I'm focused on medication management to address behavioral health concerns. After serving in the Air Force for a decade, I pursued nursing, and began working in the Emergency Room. While pursing my APRN at the University of Kansas I focused on mental health electives and diversifying my experiences with people of all walks of life. This background allows him to comfortably care for many populations, including my fellow veterans, first responders, children, LGBTQ+ individuals, and other underserved communities. Prior to becoming licensed as a nurse practitioner, Angela spent more than 14 years as an RN working in a variety of practice settings including acute care, case management, hospice, and pediatric home care.

As a psychiatric nurse practitioner, I offer a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation and medication management for mental health disorders in children, adolescents and adults. Angela Armstrong, RN, MSN, PMHNP-BC, is a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She holds Master of Science in Nursing degrees in both Psychiatric Nursing and Nursing Education. She has been working in healthcare since 2007 in a variety of settings including infection control, public health, and long-term care. She provides interventions, treatment, and holistic support to clients across the lifespan with acute, chronic, and substance-induced mental illness. Angela’s approach is to provide high-quality, client-focused care to meet the unique needs of each client.

We work with clients with a wide range of concerns and ages, combining traditional pharmaceutical management with integrative medicine. We coordinate care with their therapist to ensure a well rounded approach to treatment. We use both in person and telehealth visits for established patients. All new patient assessments are in person.

My patient care is built on empathy, compassion, and evidence-based practices. I believe that every person has a unique story which deserves individualized care. I became a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to treat emotional pain, assist clients and their families adapt to mental health changes, and to normalize mental health in our community.
