I am a Rush trained, Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist who provides psychotherapy and medication management. I am passionate about helping patients and their families overcome the stigma surrounding mental health treatment for children. There is an unfortunate shortage of psychiatrists that specialize in treating children, which I recognized early in my training. This area of psychiatry is uniquely challenging due to its diversity, but I have worked with patients from a wide range of socio-economic, religious, and cultural backgrounds, and even patients as young as three years old.

I am a board certified adult, child & adolescent psychiatrist. I completed medical school at the University of Illinois in Chicago, a general (adult) psychiatry residency at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, and a child psychiatry fellowship at the Medical University of South Carolina. The training I received in residency and fellowship has prepared me to manage essentially any psychiatric issue that comes through my clinic doors, regardless of severity or complexity.

Dr. Nakshabandi draws from 10 years of psychiatric training experience across a wide range of settings including Harvard Medical School, The University of Chicago, The Department of Veterans Affairs and over 40 different sites across two continents. Dr. Nakshabandi has extensive knowledge on a wide array of therapeutic techniques, medication management algorithms, and complementary approaches to treatment. His treatment approach is rooted in empathy and strives to heal by evoking it.

Lawrence Abah, PMHNP treats patients starting from 12 years old. Lawrence is dual board certified in Across the lifespan psychiatry and Family practice. Lawrence believes in using holistic approach to behavioral health and partnering with his clients for the best treatment outcome. He believes in development of good therapeutic alliance with his patients. He prides himself in providing patient focused, high quality and individualized care to his patients. Dr. Ishaq (Isaac) Lachin sees individuals aged 6 to 65. He received his bachelor’s degree from Loyola University Chicago, and then received his MD from the world-renowned Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He completed both his general psychiatry residency training and child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship at the University of Chicago Medical Center. He is board certified in both adult and child & adolescent psychiatry, and has received multiple awards from the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and the Illinois Council of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.

In my psychiatric practice, I sees a wide array of clients, including children as young as four years old.
