Linda Floyd is a board-certified mental health nurse practitioner. Since beginning to work with patients in 2014, Linda has engaged with patients in a variety of treatment settings. She understands the distress and impaired functioning her patients are experiencing. Her goal is to engage with patients to reduce their distress, improve functioning, and help them reach their potential. She develops a therapeutic alliance with each patient, using best practices to set treatment goals and select the proper treatment plan. She combines psychopharmacology and non-pharmacological approaches, including mindfulness stress reduction technique

Hello! I am a board-certified psychiatrist who is passionate about helping people who are struggling with depression, anxiety, and their general mental health. I particularly enjoy working in women's mental health and with second generation Americans. I know each person has a unique set of circumstances contributing to their current situation, which means every treatment plan is equally as unique. I believe in working together to create a collaborative plan tailored to fit you.

I am an experienced psychiatrist committed to providing individualized care to each patient, with a strong emphasis on collaboration and shared decision making/informed consent. My goal in working with patients is to foster growth, strength and resiliency, while working together to manage underlying psychiatric and medical conditions impeding their progress. My treatment approach is integrative, often combining various modalities including medications, psychotherapy, medical/diagnostic labwork, nutrition, exercise, and other wellness focused approaches catered to each individual's values.

I am board certified in Child, Adolescent & Adult Psychiatry. I see children, adolescents, teenagers, and adults in my office in Dunwoody and am accepting new patients. I specialize in the use of medications and other holistic approaches to treat mental health conditions. I am also the Medical Director of Southern Live Oak Wellness. Treating clients with respect, integrity and compassion are my priorities. When managing medications, I incorporate the most current and best evidence based practices.

Dr. Compean is proud to be a part of patient's journey. She is privileged to be one of the few (or in some cases the only person) in their life to see the real person. There are many things medications itself cannot fix such as the the doctor, psychiatrist really listening to you and being an advocate for your mental wellness. Dr. Compean loves spending time with her husband and their two beautiful dogs as well as cooking authentic Nigerian cuisine.
