I am a certified physician assistant with a background in cognitive neuroscience and group counseling in a variety of topics including substance use and emotional regulation. My focus in psychiatry has been around addiction medicine and mood disorders. I believe each treatment plan should be tailored to the individual person. My therapeutic approach integrates evidence-based psychiatric treatments with a keen emphasis on lifestyle factors, such as nutrition, exercise, and sleep. I encourage my patients to actively participate in their well-being journey, fostering a sense of empowerment and self-discovery.

Unlike some psychiatrists, I focus on the person as a whole, taking time to understand the current difficulties as well as what led to them. Supportive therapy is part of every interaction I have with a patient and medications are used if/when necessary, working with the patient as a valued team member.
