Our board-certified psychiatrists specialize in evidence-based and patient-centered treatment. Our psychiatrists completed training in General Psychiatry and Forensic Psychiatry at Emory University School of Medicine. We treat children, teenagers, adults, and elderly patients. We also specialize in forensic psychiatry and conduct independent medical evaluations, fitness for duty evaluations, competency to stand trial, and criminal responsibility evaluations.

I specialize in treating depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, mood disorders, sexual disorders, intimacy concerns, trauma and behavioral issues. I knew from my first day of my psychiatric clinical rotation during my junior year of nursing school that I wanted to commit my career to helping people with their mental health problems. I realized I found a true joy in sitting with individuals experiencing a crisis and helping others battling a myriad of issues. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Nursing from East Carolina University in Greenville, North Carolina, before completing a Master of Science in Nursing at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. After obtaining nearly a decade of clinical practice, I return to Emory to earn a Doctor of Philosophy in Nursing.

Gideon Matzkin, MD is a board-certified psychiatrist trained to diagnose and treat acute and chronic mental health conditions with medication management and psychodynamic therapy to enhance self understanding, relationships, and help patients maximize their own potential. Dr. Matzkin sees patients for individual therapy, medication management, along with consulting in collaborative care with physician practices at his private concierge psychiatry practice Attuned Psychiatry. Dr. Matzkin also proudly serves as co-founder of Recovery DBT, Atlanta's Premier Dialectical Behavior Therapy Intensive Outpatient Programming.

Dr. Courtney Allen is double board-certified in adult and geriatric psychiatry and specializes in medication management and various psychotherapies to treat anxiety and depressive disorders. Dr. Allen completed her undergraduate studies at Spelman College and received her medical degree from the University of Alabama School of Medicine. She completed her adult psychiatry residency and geriatric psychiatry fellowship at Montefiore/Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
