Hi everyone! I'm Dr. Neal. I am a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) based in Connecticut. I received my Doctorate from Fairfield University and have 9 years experience in mental health. My doctoratal project focused on deprescribing with the intent to improve patient outcomes. I work with adults aged 18 and up and I specialize in treating clients with significant trauma history. I am a part of a wonderful private practice led by Dr. Mark Waynik. My approach is comprehensive, compassionate, and individualized to provide the best possible outcomes for my clients and their families.

She received her Bachelor’s and Master’s degree from Springfield College where she completed her clinical training In psychiatry in the inpatient hospital setting. After graduating, Katherine focused her career in community based mental health and addiction treatment. Her knowledge of psychopharmacology stems from over 9 years’ experience treating a wide scope of mental health conditions including mood, anxiety, and substance use disorders throughout the clinic, hospital, and addiction treatment environments.

I am a board-certified psychiatric NP, trained at New York University. I specialize in adults, children, adolescents, and geriatrics. My virtual and in-person practices are friendly and confidential spaces where I provide a thorough psychiatric evaluation and personalized medication management. My approach is to always see things from the client’s perspective. My mission is to support my clients while they create more meaningful progress in life. I'm a Board-Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (APRN), licensed to prescribe psychiatric medication across the lifespan. At our practice, we collaborate with patients and their therapists to use medications conservatively, while always incorporating holistic methods to assist in recovery. I have 30 years of experience as a chiropractor, treating patients without the use of medication. Now, with the ability to prescribe medication, I carry with me the philosophy that judicious medication use is key in treatment plans. My strength is in adolescents, adults and geriatric patients.
