I have been in the mental health field for over 30 years and am continually impressed by the strength of the human spirit. I am open minded and don't have any preconceptions about an individual or the problems they present with when I meet them at their first visit. Psychiatric services are more difficult to find than ever before while modern day stress has increased demand for quality services. I feel strongly that psychiatric assistance should be easier to find than it is. I also believe that people from all backgrounds, financial circumstances and with varied problems should have equal access to quality mental health care.

I am Board Certified Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist, and Yale trained Adult psychiatrist. I enjoy treating all ages of people from as young as 3 thru adulthood. I treat ADHD, Depression Anxiety disorders along with behavioral disorders in childhood. I also treat adults, families and couples in addition to individuals with medication and or therapy.

Unresolved emotional conflicts lie at the core of human suffering at times life can be unusually painful, scary and confusing. We may feel anxious, sad, discouraged and alone and not know what to do. Talking things out with someone can help us become clearer about who we are, our strengths and also our self-defeating ways so we can move forward with an improved sense of self and direction. As a Board Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, I am an expert in clinical psychopharmacology and I treat all adult and pediatric disorders I see individuals from their early teens through middle age and beyond.

My motto is "Promoting Self-Regulation, and Bio-Emotional Health". I am a psychiatrist and a psychotherapist. I provide psychotherapy and pharmacological treatment for those who need it. I believe medications are not the answer to people emotional, psychological, and behavioral problems. My patients are individuals who want to improve the quality of their life and find their way to a satisfying and fulfilling future. My treatment approach is focused on the strengths of each individual and on helping people to obtain more insight and discover their true self.

Welcome, I'm a therapist and psychiatrist with expertise in working with young children, adolescents, and their parents. I completed my medical training at the University of Chicago and the Yale Child Study Center. With your consent, I work collaboratively with the child, parents, schools, and other professionals to personalize a treatment that focuses on your goals, values, strengths, and needs. By integrating what works from up-to-date evidence-based treatments with neuroscience and psychoanalytic ways of understanding a mind's development, I seek to empower my patients to suffer less and live with more authenticity, creativity, and freedom.
