Each person is different and your individual treatment plan should reflect that. I treat a multitude of psychiatric disorders including but not limited to depression, anxiety, PTSD, ADHD, and OCD. Some specialized populations that I treat include perinatal, child, and co-occurring medical complexity.

There are a multitude of reasons why people seek care and I take time to explore the challenges and struggles that bring people into my office and identifying contributing causes, like the use of substances, chronic poor sleep, lifestyle factors, before jumping to medications alone. As an experienced mental health provider, I have worked with neurodivergent individuals, those with eating disorders and other mental health issues like depression or anxiety. I'm glad to work with children, teens and adults on their mental health needs!

I have been practicing as a board certified psychiatric nurse practitioner in the Denver area since 2019. I offer psychiatric medication evaluations and treatment for various conditions including anxiety, depression, ADHD, bipolar disorder, eating disorders, and PTSD. I value practicing safe-competent care that incorporates current evidence-based practice. I hope to provide my clients with a comfortable environment where we can collaborate together to create an individualized treatment plan. I believe medication is just one of the many tools involved in treating mental health conditions.

Kayla completed her Doctorate in Nursing Practice at Arizona State University. She has experience working with clients with depression, anxiety, and ADHD. Kayla works with individuals who are looking to gain insight into themselves and improve their quality of life. She seeks to understand each individual holistically, including their background and their strengths, in order to provide an individualized approach. Kayla believes that establishing a strong alliance with her clients is essential to getting the most out of treatment and creating lasting change.

I am a Board Certified Psychiatrist with 30 years of clinical experience in all areas of psychiatry and addiction. I can help you if you have a mood disorder (such as Major Depression or Bipolar Disorder), an anxiety disorder (such as PTSD, OCD, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Panic Disorder or Agoraphobia), ADHD, Schizophrenia, Schizoaffective Disorder, TBI or a developmental disability. I can also provide medication to help with addiction to drugs or alcohol. I see patients age 13 and up.
