I"m a Board Certified Adult and Child Psychiatrist and have been in private practice since 1982 . My work in helping people through difficult times , has been my calling in life. Hi! I've been a board certified psychiatric nurse practitioner for over 17 years and I love working with children, teens and adults to help them achieve and maintain excellent mental health and wellness. I specialize in tele-health services and, while I diagnose and treat most psychiatric conditions, I especially enjoy working with people with learning differences, ADHD, mood disorders, children with adjustment issues, and women who are experiencing fertility, pregnancy and postpartum related issues. I am a life long learner and educator and believe in a collaborative approach with each individual I work with.

Dr. Hansen began her medical career in the Army National Guard as a medic. After completing 12 years education, she moved to Alaska to work in integrated care models for the Native American people at Southcentral Foundation. During this time, she served as an adult & adolescent psychiatrist & director for the dual-diagnosis addiction program. She gradually transitioned to the field of tele-psychiatry & assumed the role of Behavioral Health Director for multiple towns in Alaska while concomitantly working in California for LA County.
