Dr. Shah is welcoming new patients for video appointments. As a Board-certified M.D. psychiatrist, he specializes in assessing and treating anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, OCD, PTSD and other psychiatric issues. A holistic provider, he combines non-pharmacologic approaches - including psychodynamic psychotherapy and cognitive behavioral therapy - in addition to medication. He utilizes such therapeutic modalities in medication management appointments as well as dedicated therapy sessions. Consequently, patients benefit from well-integrated treatment that is both systematic and thorough.

After receiving his Bachelor of Science degree in Neurobiology, Physiology, and Behavior from the University of California at Davis, Dr. Chofla earned his medical degree from Midwestern University: Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine.

I am a board certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner and I have an extensive background in caring for the adult, geriatric, and veteran populations in outpatient, acute, and emergency mental health care settings. I also have experience treating patients in crisis residential treatment, residential rehabilitation, and telehealth settings. I am excited to provide care for adult patients in need here at Rula. Note: due to resent change in pharmacy practices, no new ADHD patients unless in person in Indio CA and using nearby pharmacy. Dr Connolly grew up in Connecticut and completed undergrad at the University of Connecticut where he graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelors of Science in Psychology and Cognitive Science. Dr Connolly then moved to California for medical school at Touro University California College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr Connolly received his medical education and doctorate from there before heading to Southern California for residency training.
