I believe in a comprehensive approach to psychiatry. In addition to med-management, I find it important to incorporate the use of psychotherapy to help my patients find their path to mental health wellness. There is no "one size fits all" treatment and I enjoy working with my clients to help plot their unique course to freedom from their psychological ailments.
I have had extensive training and experience in treating people of all ages and walks of life (inpatient/outpatient, mood and anxiety, eating disorders, concurrent/substance use disorders, ADHD, marginalized, ethnospecific), but I am most passionate about assisting transition-aged youth through the often turbulent transition to adulthood.
As the Canadian-born son of Taiwanese parents, I am equally able to work with people who speak both English and Mandarin. I see my practice of psychiatry as an extension of my passion for social justice, equity, and inclusion -- and firmly believe that everyone is worthy of respect and acceptance.
