I treat with evidence-based practices and believe in medication reduction as much as possible to avoid people being on too many medications.

I help adults of all ages work through their problems, including (but not limited to) depression, anxiety, stress, relationship issues, job loss, bereavement, and coping with illness. I am a psychiatrist that also practices psychotherapy and treatment may consist of talk therapy, medications, or both. My name is Volker Nabavi, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I specialize in treating depression, anxiety, sleep disorders, substance use, ADHD, OCD, and Bipolar disorders. I have received training in both medical and nursing fields which enables me to apply both medical and nursing theories to manage my client’s mental health holistically and meet their needs. During sessions, I use Cognitive Behavioral therapy (CBT) and motivational interviewing for a supportive, client-centered, holistic approach.

Abbey is a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, who graduated from California State University, Long Beach. She has over 20 years of experience working in the field of mental health with children, adolescents, families and adults. Abbey offers a range of assessment and treatment strategies to address mental, emotional and behavioral concerns. Each person is unique and Abbey uses a collaborative approach working as partners to achieve a person's optimal mental wellness, empowering the individual on their healing journey.

Dr. Lempa is an adult psychiatrist who believes in collaborative treatment with a focus on increased functionality and individual outcomes. Dr. Lempa provides a thorough assessment utilizing a biological, psychological, social, cultural and spiritual formulation. He formulates an individualized treatment plan consisting of nutrition, exercise, psychotherapy and psychopharmacology. He looks forward to helping you overcome your current mental health burdens and helping you live a fulfilled, balanced and successful life!.

I am a board certified psychiatrist and my practice includes the treatment of adults and adolescents ages 16 and older. Having received specialty training in Women's Mental Health, I am experienced with mood and anxiety disorders during pregnancy and the postpartum period. Mental health and psychiatric symptoms are complex, and affected both by brain chemistry and environmental factors. I listen closely to understand the details of a patient's life in order to determine the best course of treatment. When medication is indicated, I strive to develop safe and effective regimens with my patients.

Dr. Yang has been providing care for patients since 2014. She graduated from Johns Hopkins University with a dual-major in Biology & Psychology, University of Washington School of Medicine and Harbor UCLA Medical Center's Fellowship Program. She is board-certified in both General Psychiatry and Child & Adolescent Psychiatry. She participated in UCLA's Parent Training Program and is certified in UCLA Peers (Program for the Education & Enrichment of Relational Skills). She dedicates her time to seeing only youth and empathizing with patients & their families.

Monique works with individuals who are looking to gain insight into themselves and improve their quality of life. She seeks to understand each individual holistically, including their backgrounds and the strengths they already possess to provide an individualized approach. Monique believes that establishing a strong alliance with her clients is essential to getting the most out of therapy and creating lasting change. Through this alliance, she partners with her clients to explore and address thought and behavior patterns that serve as barriers to enjoying life fully.

I am able to provide a broad assessment of a child, adolescent or adult's difficulties and coordinate treatment to address the root causes of the issue. I consider psychological, social, family systems, cultural, interpersonal, academic and medical issues.

Dr. Wang was born and raised in Los Angeles. She finished her undergraduate studies at the University of California, San Diego with a degree in Literature and graduated with a medical degree from the University of California, San Francisco. During medical school, Dr. Wang worked with the Ministry of Health in Peru looking at adolescent attitudes towards substance abuse. The following year, the American Psychiatric Association awarded her funding for smoking cessation research at Langley Porter, UCSF.

In order to offer my patients the most appropriate treatments, I believe firmly in performing a rigorous diagnostic assessment. The results of this assessment are then discussed with my patients, and we work collaboratively to create a treatment plan tailored to his or her individual needs. When working with children, I believe it is essential that both the child and the parents' preferences be honored. If everyone agrees that medication is indicated, then my preferred approach is generally to use the fewest number of medications at the lowest possible effective dose(s).

My professional and moral duty is to alleviate suffering, and I promise to do my best to help improve your quality of life. We will reach this goal by thoroughly discussing your needs. I most recently worked at a state psychiatric hospital before moving to private practice.

Anjam Bahl MD is a Double Board Certified Child and Adult Psychiatrist practicing since 2016. She received her Bachelor of Arts from Columbia College of Columbia University and then remained at Columbia to complete her Doctor of Medicine. She then completed Residency in Adult Psychiatry at Stanford Hospital and Clinics. Subsequently, she completed a Child and Adolescent Fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco. Over the years Anjam has been described as "extremely well organized, thorough, and thoughtful in her assessments and treatment recommendations.

I am a strong proponent of collaborating with the patient to create a tailored holistic and evidence-based management plan that incorporates the anatomic, mental, cultural, and social variations of each patient. I have considerable training in both inpatient and outpatient settings, and specialize in major depressive disorder, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and post-traumatic stress disorder. I grew up in Alabama and graduated from the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB).

I am a board-certified psychiatrist as well as a psycho-oncologist who treats adults of all ages. My focus is on helping clients find and manifest meaning in their lives, transform potential into reality, and become the best version of their selves. My approach is to apply principles of neuroscience, psychology, meditation and mindfulness, stress management, nutrition, exercise, and pharmacology, to not only alleviate suffering but ultimately to promote thriving.
