Lindsey is a board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP), and received her training and education from The University of Texas at Austin. Her primary areas of interest are working with clients struggling with addiction, anxiety disorders, mood disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorders, and PTSD. She has a wide array of training and experience providing trauma-informed care to Veterans and first responders, as well as to survivors of child abuse, sexual assault, exploitation, and domestic violence. Dr. Halgrimson is a Board-Certified Baylor Trained Psychiatrist who is proud to serve adolescents and adults. Dr. Halgrimson treats a wide range of mental health conditions, including attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), depression, anxiety, and other cognitive conditions. Dr. Halgrimson is published in a number of peer-reviewed scientific journals, including the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, and has served as President of the Austin Psychiatric Society. Dr. Halgrimson loves Austin, the people here, and enjoys spending time with his friends and family.

Taiwo Elemuren is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She has been practicing as a Nurse Practitioner since 2015 and has extensive knowledge, and experience, in psychiatry. She provides patient-centered psychiatric evaluation and medication management. Her goal is to continually provide unbiased and all-inclusive care to individuals regardless of race, gender, and sexual orientation.

I am a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who provides individualized and evidenced-based care to pediatric and adult patients with diverse psychiatric and behavioral needs. I am available in-person in the Rio Grande Valley and via telehealth across Texas.

In addition, motivational and cognitive therapy are great strategies to use but focusing on the patient’s current needs should never be strayed away.
