I am a double ABPN board certified psychiatrist in private practice specializing in both Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Adult Psychiatry. I offer individualized, compassionate, comprehensive psychiatric treatment using a combination of psychotherapy and medication management. I treat patients across the life span, from early elementary school age to older adults. In addition to providing ongoing care for patients and their families, I am also available for consultation and second opinion evaluations. Telehealth appointments are available.

Hello. I am Dr Sosunmolu Shoyinka. If you are on this page, you or a family member are most likely struggling with a mental health issue. I work with adults and adolescents who are struggling with anxiety, depression, Bipolar disorder, and mental health issues related to a medical condition. In my daily work with patients, my top priority is that they feel heard, understood and supported. Together as a team in each session, we will establish a plan till we meet again the following month. I believe collaboration is key and that "it takes a village". So with consent, I am happy to speak with other clinicians involved in your care.

I provide comprehensive treatment options combining psychopharmacology and psychotherapeutic modalities. I am ABPN board-certified in both General Psychiatry & Addiction Psychiatry. In addition to treating addictions, mood disorders, and anxiety disorders; I specialize in women's mental health.

Ideally my patient is as invested in their care as I am. They could have a variety of diagnoses but the thing they have in common is they are willing to give the process time, are open to new ideas, and know there is no magic pill to fix all their problems. My patients want to get to the best version of themselves and are willing to try therapy as well as medications to help them reach that goal. My patient wants an empathetic, listening provider who can guide their care based on the evidence, but tailored to their individual needs.

I am double board-certified in Psychiatry and Addiction Medicine. I believe in using both medication when indicated as well as therapy. I was trained in CBT and was given the Excellence in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy during my residency program. I use supportive therapy with each client I see. During my residency I served as Chief Resident and was awarded the Overall Excellence in Psychiatry Award as well as the Clinical Excellence Award.
