As the provider, I offer an open, honest, relaxed, and judgment-free environment to assist individuals that are experiencing depression, anxiety, grief and loss, memory impairment, psychosis, crisis, and other mood-related disorders. The safety and well-being of the client are my number one priority. I depend on accurate diagnoses, treatment planning, psychotherapy, social support, and ongoing medication management to achieve the best quality of life for each individual. The initial visit will usually last the full 60 minutes and follow-up visits are determined by the stability of the patient and medications prescribed.

My approach is integrative, which means that treatment with medications may be combined with non-medication options, such as mindfulness-based interventions, life-style optimization, and nutritional supplementation. Together, we will develop an individualized well-being plan, which will incorporate your unique goals, and importantly, your perspective on health. My role is to offer these treatment options to you, and guide you as you make the decisions about which of these is aligned with your goals. All treatment options are evidence-informed, based on the medical and scientific literature.

My ideal client is someone who wishes to take a more comprehensive approach to their overall care. This individual could be experiencing a first time mental health concern but isn’t interested in a medicine only approach. This individual can also be someone who has experienced the traditional approach to care where medications are always the answer and wants something different for themselves. Medications are an important tool in psychiatry but we believe in taking a comprehensive approach to care. Allowing the body to do what nature designed by properly caring for the whole person can lead to improved outcomes for our patients.

Jessica Olivo is a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner with over 15 years of mental health experience. She provides comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and ongoing medication management follow up. Jessica provides supportive listening, compassion, and cultivates a collaborative relationship with her patients. She approaches care in a calm and therapeutic manner that allows clients to feel comfortable expressing themselves and to be proactive members in their own treatment.

I'm skilled in providing exceptional care to my clients experiencing mental illness and substance abuse. I utilize medication management and psychotherapy treatment regimens to treat Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Anxiety Disorder, and Depressive Disorders and enjoy working with LGBTQIA+ populations. I work with an amazing group of colleagues at Lavender, an online psychiatry and therapy office, where we believe psychiatric care shouldn't be expensive nor impossible to access.
