As a psychiatrist, my goal is to provide a safe, compassionate space where you feel heard, supported, and empowered. My passion is helping people rediscover and reconnect with their true selves while building greater insights and strengths along the way.

I have extensive training in both inpatient and outpatient psychiatry. I prefer to see patients for both psychotherapy and psychopharmacology, although I am open to working with other therapists. I have affiliation with both NYU and Lenox Hill Hospital and enjoy teaching both psychiatry residents and medical students as a voluntary attending. I provide patient focused therapy. I believe that everyone responds differently to different treatment and the best way to achieve their goals is to take a collaborative approach.

My practice provides outpatient care for addictions, sexual disorders, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, attention deficit disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder, cognitive impairments, and psychotic disorders. While we promote psychotherapeutic and holistic treatments, we also offer medications when suitable. We may prescribe non-addictive medicines to control cravings, prevent relapse, treat sleep disorders, manage anxiety and improve mood. Dr. Gundu Reddy is a Board Certified Psychiatrist in New York City. Prior to starting residency at Mount Sinai School of medicine she pursued additional research in HIV psychiatry. As well as residency training, she has also pursued further training in psychodynamic psychotherapy at the NYU psychoanalytic institute. She states that whether prescribing medication, family, or relationship therapy, understanding psychodynamic conflict and causes of symptoms will cause help to enhance the quality of care. As well as psychodynamic training Dr Reddy also has a background in integrative psychiatry and treatment resistance.

She has over 10 years of experience working in both inpatient & outpatient mental health settings with a variety of populations. Nudrat believes in a holistic & integrative approach to treatment that can involve medications, psychotherapy, & alternative modalities, with a focus on empathic, compassionate care. She has additional certifications in Holistic Health, & Mindfulness and Meditation, and believes in integrating complementary practices in treatment when appropriate. Nudrat also has a strong interest in psychedelics for mental wellness.

The stigma around mental health treatment can make initiation intimidating, because of this I offer a non judgmental and confidential space to get the treatment you need. As well I focus on the individual and not the diagnosis. Medication management cannot be performed properly if people are all treated the same. Services include medication management/review ,medical marijuana, and first time consultations to discuss a treatment plan. ADHD diagnosis/management is also provided. ADHD is often overlooked or under treated. My goal is to provide a personal experience where we work together for optimal care ensuring all needs are met.
