Much of the information that will be helpful to you is in the hands, heads, and hearts of other parents like yourself. For this reason, it is worthwhile to join a parent’s group. Some groups are organized around one particular disability (e.g., Autism, Down syndrome), while other groups draw together parents who, irrespective of the disabilities of their children, have similar concerns like: coping, or finding out about special education in their community. Within each of these groups, common concerns can be shared. The power of this mutual sharing to combat feelings of isolation, confusion, and stress.

In a world of work, career focus, stress, parenting, responsibilities, fast-paced daily lives, Generation X and Y are the backbone of society. Our generations take up more than 137 million people! We are caretakers of our Boomer parents and our Gen Z children. We make a difference in the world, it's time to make a difference in ourselves. Gen-Xers and Millennials are a breed of their own. We are known for resilience, independence and forward thinking.

Through my counseling practice, I desire to empower others to achieve a balanced state of wellbeing, discover their self-worth, reach their fullest potential, and live joyfully. I provide a safe, welcoming, and non-judgmental space for my client’s voice to be heard. Past trauma and current life transitions can be painful and difficult; however, I believe that each of us has the ability to heal and grow stronger. Counseling is a tool that helps us recognize harmful beliefs and behavior patterns, learn new skills with which to resolve problems, and facilitate lasting positive change in our lives.

Hi friend. Are you struggling today? It could be exhaustion from the last couple years, anxiety, depression, lack of motivation, or a combination. I help teens and adults who are struggling with the feelings that come with life stressors and transitions. We work together to create a more fulfilling and balanced life. My goal is to come along side you as we work through these feelings and struggles. I'm offering telehealth sessions and walk & talk sessions if you are local to the Ashland area. I am a therapist who struggles with ADHD and enjoy working with clients who are also looking for support in this area.
