Counselling can help us in a number of ways; by changing our outlook on life, by increasing our self-awareness which can help with anxiety and confidence; by helping us come to terms with past trauma or loss or by simply improving our emotional and mental well-being. My aim is to provide you with a safe and confidential space in which to explore all aspects of your life. Whilst my job won’t be to give advice, I will listen without judgement and guide you to finding the solace that you need. I have experience of working with young people, neurodiversity and those within the LGBTQ+ community. I work in person, online or via telephone.
Each of us is unique so there's no ‘one-size-fits-all’ approach to counselling and whilst I work primarily in a Person-Centred way, as an integrative counsellor I can draw upon aspects of different theories to find the best way of working to help you achieve your goals. I offer short or long term counselling for adults and young people (16+).
Deciding to see a counsellor is a big decision and it’s important to work with someone you feel comfortable with . I try to make this process easier by offering a free telephone or online consultation before you decide to book. This gives us the opportunity to see if we are the right fit for working together and for you to ask any questions you may have.
