As a very experienced Counsellor (qualified 1998) and Physical Therapist (Pilates Instructor qualified 1984) I have an innate interest in and deep respect for people. My mission has been to support and work with my clients in assisting them in achieving their healing and wellness. Often it helps to be listened to and it is important to understand why things are the way they are. Perhaps you feel "stuck"and are at a loss to know how to deal with a difficult situation - or it may be that you are having difficulties in relationships with other people.

I offer Humanistic, psychodynamic, creative and cognitive behavioural therapy. We are all diverse human beings and completely individual in our needs and our preferences therefor each session is led by the individual needs of my clients. Talking about our feelings and emotions can be hard and taking the first steps in to therapy is possibly the hardest part of the journey. I have worked as a therapist for over 30 years and started my career in the field of Addiction at the Promis Centre in Kent. I have gained a wealth of experience in the field of addiction and have worked with some of the internationally respected leaders in this field, including Dr. Max Glatt who was recognised as a leading authority in the treatment of addiction and he inspired in his staff a passion that recovery is possible for anyone struggling with addiction. I also worked alongside Dr Tom Barth known for his work in Motivational Interviewing. I have a wealth of knowledge and experience with issues other than addiction.

I am a counsellor who focusses on the value of the therapeutic relationship and how trust and safety can support you and help you to validate and understand your experience without judgement. I work as an equine and nature assisted somatic trauma therapist and find it very helpful to combine this work with gentle trauma sensitive yoga practices to help regulate the nervous system. I have trained with Equusoma which brings elements of somatic experiencing into the experience of equine connection, I am also training in Somatic Experiencing. The work I do helps to integrate and process the experience of the mind and the body.
