Sometimes we can feel disconnected from ourselves or from those close to us. Perhaps there are strong emotions pulling in many directions all at once, or a numbness with no explanation at all. In such times we feel anxious, overwhelmed and alone. There is safety in feeling accompanied by someone who cares, and can help find balance again. I believe our feelings can be great teachers, though often confusing. In this way, I believe we do have the answers within us. Unlocking them is a process: giving voice to emotions, being seen and understood, discovering a new awareness, taking steps gently in a new direction.
My own path has many twists: immigrant to Canada, a career in mathematics, living abroad, finding passions in the arts, to now therapist. I want to hear your story, how you connect with others and the world. My style is relational, with somatic techniques from hakomi. In this way, we can learn and discover together, and find a way to healing and growth.
I see individuals and couples. I am RLT trained.
