I work with all stages of the life cycle with a particular focus on children, youth and families. I help individuals figure out what goals they wish to achieve and support them to make a plan of how to get there. It is wonderful to talk to family and friends but they are often not "neutral" in terms of the support they provide. Having someone to talk to outside that circle to listen, reframe what is going on and offer strategies can be invaluable!
I enjoy working with children and families. I take time to get to know them and learn about their unique and special qualities as well as what they are hoping to work on and what goals they wish to set for therapy. I like to use art and creativity to help children feel comfortable and engaged.
I have always enjoyed talking to people, learning who they are, and hearing their stories. From a young age, people were comfortable opening up to me, I believe this is because I am empathetic, nonjudgmental, and compassionate. I am humble and like to laugh, especially at myself!
