I am based in Melkbosstrand. My approach to counselling involves creating awareness, uncovering, processing and expressing personal experience. I help clients manage anxiety and stressful life events, deal with trauma, and process difficult emotions such as shame, guilt and anger. I do this by implementing evidence based interventions and holding a safe space for my clients where we can explore those difficult yet crucial aspects that may be contributing to unnecessary suffering. The following quote from the book "Sea Grapes" by Derek Walcott describes beautifully what I wish for my clients:
The "time will come when, with elation you will greet yourself arriving at your own door, in your own mirror and each will smile at the other's welcome and say, sit here. Eat.
