I've been a licensed psychologist for 30 years. I have had long associations with outstanding hospitals such as Mt. Auburn and Mass Eye&Ear, as well as serving as Clinical Instructor in Psychology for Harvard Medical School. One of my areas of expertise is helping those of us with chronic medical conditions, for example, Arthritis, Asthma, Cancer, Cardiac Disease, Chronic Pain, Diabetes, Hypertension, and Tinnitus, to name some of the most prevalent. Generally, associated with these conditions, anxiety, depression, anger and fear are all too common.
From an empathic stance, we can manage the effects of such conditions with a tailored approach of meditative strategies, mental training, reframing, and healthful behavioral changes. These strategies are equally effective for general anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and professional/personal adjustment problems.
