My name is Eric Carlson and I am the founder and director of Brainwise Solutions LLC, an innovative practice that offers counseling, mindfulness groups, plant medicine integration counseling, meditation products, retreats and organizational training and consultation. My 30 plus years as a therapist , college professor, and trainer have taught me that the decision to seek therapy is not an easy one and difficulty in overcoming past wounds is rarely related to lack of effort. My compassionate and caring philosophy combined with best practice multi-modal therapeutic approaches allows me to help a wide variety of people.

While change is difficult, it is never too late! My clients have ranged in age through 97. I see both individuals and families dealing with a large spectrum of emotional issues. I am warm, encouraging, a strong motivator, and honor each individual's unique characteristics and strengths. To that end, I try to tailor my methods to the individual needs of the client - utilizing psychodynamic, humanistic and cognitive behavioral therapy modes. As a feature of my practice, I make house calls to elderly or infirm clients in my local area.

The Hudson Valley Center for Development is a Mt. Sinai associated mental health services practice created in 2007 to meet the emotional needs of adults, children, adolescents, and families in Orange County and the lower Hudson Valley.
