While everyone’s journey through life is unique, we ultimately all want the same thing…We ALL want to be happy. Unfortunately, happiness doesn't always come easily. Our journey is full of challenges that we have to overcome in order to get back to being happy. We experience sadness and loss. We fall completely in love only to suffer heart break. Some of us go through traumatic events such as combat or a devastating accident. These situations and many more cause us to develop feelings of fear, sadness and frustration which we do our best to manage, but typically do so in an unhealthy and maladapted way.

I prioritize the therapeutic alliance, working within each client’s comfort zone to foster a warm, non-judgmental environment. This sensitive approach is essential for making clients feel secure and truly understood, particularly when exploring complex issues related to identity, including sexual orientation, gender identity, and cultural or racial backgrounds. My goal is to create a supportive space where clients can feel safe to express themselves and explore their identities without fear.

As a Licensed Master Social Worker, I also have a Master of Fine Arts Degree from New York University. I have many years of experience working with children, teens and adults within the world of the performing arts which has greatly inspired my approach to helping clients understand and overcome life’s challenges. I have worked in higher education, public elementary schools, and for private companies. Through a trauma-informed lens, I work to collaborate with each client on therapeutic goals using a strengths-perspective and person-centered approach.
