My focus is helping people who have substance use issues or are affected by another's substance use. I work to support a person through the challenges of recovery and the associated trauma, anxiety, depression, and losses. To help people identify needs and build on strengths and self compassion.
I have a holistic, person centered approach in helping a person develop healthy coping and stress management skills, build awareness to address unhealthy thought patterns and to improve self esteem, and to address codependency and other relationship/interpersonal issues.
I pull from a myriad of approaches in treatment including narrative, mindfulness, EMDR, attachment, energy work, and family systems, which help me meet the person where they are as they navigate their recovery process. I have a strong meditation, yoga, and movement background to support body awareness as it can inform recovery work.
