My approach to therapy is primarily person centered which seeks to create change through a positive and empathetic counseling relationship. This approach will help you to identify your own answers to problems or barriers and seek change through collaborative goal setting and treatment planning. Counseling is a deeply personal and individual process, and we may incorporate aspects of other therapy approaches in our sessions as needed, including cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, or solution-based therapy.
Through person centered therapy I help my clients feel better by helping them to gain a better understanding of their feelings, motivations, and behaviors, by helping to foster a strong sense of identity and self-worth, and by helping to improve the quality of their relationships.
I strive to offer client centered services to those struggling with anxiety, depression, relationship and adjustment issues. Creating a safe therapy space with unconditional positive regard, empathy and confidentiality will give you the space to explore the process of change.
