I am accepting new clients as of April 1, 2024. With over 30 years working in this field, I am adept at working with people experiencing a range of challenges in their lives. Expert in helping those struggling with life’s losses, traumas, and unexpected or expected changes. Specialization in working with people experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma, and addiction, as well as bipolar disorders and psychosis type experiences. I hold LCSW licensure in both Georgia and NY states, enabling me to offer telehealth sessions to people in both states. Clinical supervision for LCSW and LPC candidates also provided.

I am an experienced counselor dedicated to supporting a therapeutic relationship that encourages resilience, wellness and stability in challenging life experiences. In a compassionate, honest and informal setting. We work together and I help you learn the skills necessary in understanding and navigating a variety of disorders that effect mood, thought, personality, relationships, and behavior.

I am a licensed psychologist accepting teletherapy patients from all areas of Georgia. In-office patients will be seen at St Simons Psychiatry. I work with all ages incorporating mental, physical and spiritual factors. Therapy with children and teens typically involves better communication with parents and parenting help. Areas of expertise are mood, anxiety, ADD/ADHD, behavior problems, autism, chronic pain, stress and anger management.

I want to assist individuals, couples, and families, ages birth to 99+, on their chosen paths to living a healthy, mentally stable lifestyle by creating a safe, compassionate, and caring environment where individuals are free to be themselves, where they are comfortable in their own skins, where they can identify their strengths, identify their goals, and pursue those goals on their timeline. I also want to strive to help families define their normal and achieve that vision, while developing a positive self-esteem, healthy coping skills, and appropriate boundaries.

I believe that clients essentially want change: there is some kind of disruption deep down going on that can sometimes feel overwhelming. I can help clients identify that disruption and help find resolution.

I see life as a journey filled with a variety of experiences; some positive and some hurtful. Together, it's my goal is to help you find your way through the difficult times creatively, with compassion, and sincerity.

My love of counseling stems from an intense desire to act as a catalyst in the process of helping clients achieve their goals. I believe that the counseling relationship is unique in that the counselor is only as successful as the client. The symbiotic relationship between counselor and client should be made up of trust, acceptance, respect, and a desire to mutually work hard to create a more fulfilling life.
