Hello everyone, my name is Christian Waller and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 5 years of experience. I have provided both individual and group therapeutic services to children, teens, and adults. Although my primary focus is working with processing trauma and reducing the effects of traumatic stress, I have experience working with anxiety, depression, OCD, concerns with discovering/exploring sexuality and/or gender expression, addictions, and other areas that individuals would like to process in our therapeutic relationship.

I am passionate about working with clients of all sexualities, sexual practices, and backgrounds surrounding intimacy, childhood trauma, sex/ sexuality concerns, and relational discord. I believe these concerns are a result of underlying factors caused by intergenerational family systems, societal shame, challenges with coping with mental health during stressful events, lack of true understanding/ connection with self, and lack of access to helpful resources for guidance.

I endeavor to create a warm and safe environment in which my clients can feel comfortable opening up and sharing their thoughts, feelings, concerns and challenges. I am a Black queer cis woman. I hold space as a guide and a supporter. I strive to make therapy accessible with clear, direct communication, warm energy, and pre-emptive radically inclusive stance. I earned my Master of Social Work (MSW) from the Smith College School for Social Work. As a master-level social worker, I am currently pursuing my licensure in the state of Georgia under supervision at Heartwork. At Heartwork Counseling Center, we do not take insurance. We do offer a sliding scale. Our regular fee is $150.
