Life is difficult, no matter where you are in the journey. Loss-whether sudden or expected, can turn your world upside down. Grief affects us not just emotionally, but physically, spiritually and cognitively. The smallest tasks can be incredibly difficult. Loss changes people, and that loss, will always be a part of you. But there is hope. Hope that you will find joy again, and that your loss can be integrated into who you will become after the loss. If you are feeling lost and looking for hope, I would really like to help.
I have worked as a hospice bereavement counselor and social worker for 22 years. I have met with those who have lost, spouses, children, siblings and parents. I have experience with those who have lost someone through a traumatic or sudden event, and have several years of training in these losses. I am also familiar with the difficulty of loss due to illness
My heart is such a part of what I do. I genuinely care and empathize with those I meet with in these difficult times. I have seen them feelings lost and not knowing which direction to go. But as they continue, they find the strength and resources within themselves to be ok. And they find ways that their loved ones are always with them.
