People who choose to work with me often struggle with various anxieties, fears and incredibly high standards. These issues can often manifest as OCD, anxiety, depressiveness and perfectionism. Many times, these difficulties spread into other areas of life and can impact school, work, family and even just engaging in activities that were once enjoyable. I help people and support systems navigate and learn strategies to manage these issues in order to better function and to be happier overall.

My ideal client resonates with at least one of the following statements: 1) You are often told how smart you are, but you think you’ve just managed to fool everyone and are worried that one day they’ll see the “real” you. 2) You are a naturally excitable and passionate person, even if you don’t always show it on the outside. 3) People often tell you to “stop thinking about it so much,” but your thoughts don’t stop. You’re not sure you could even imagine a mind where nothing is happening. My clients want to feel like they know themselves, have confidence, and that past negative experiences do not determine who they are.

If you are an adult or teenager struggling with anxiety, relationship issues, trauma issues, self-esteem, or setting boundaries, I would love to help you. Couples who are struggling with relationship issues are also welcome as I have a passion and experience in marital/couples therapy and helping relationships succeed. I have also been trained in EMDR which assists clients in rapid reduction of trauma-related symptoms resulting in overall healing. I have had specialized training in DBT and have assisted clients in learning and implementing these skills as well.

I'm here to assist my clients to achieve goals and adapt coping skills by using client-focused tools which are evidence-based. I operate in the spirit of excellence and professionalism with everyone regardless of age, gender, race, social-economic status, or sexual identity. I will create a wellness plan specific to each client's individual needs.

I'm a small town girl who has gone through life with divorce, caring for a child with special needs, loss, and love.
