I believe your treatment needs to be as unique as you are! To guide our work, I use your intuitive sense about what you need from therapy, and an individualized combination of tools that work best for you. The main modalities I use are EMDR, IFS (Internal Family Systems, or 'Parts Work'), art therapy, mindfulness, and somatic tools. I also have additional training working with children, and generally use play therapy and sandtray therapy with them. My trained therapy dog Pippin (hypoallergenic) attends sessions as well! In my spare time you can find me mountain biking, snowboarding, doing yoga, or following creative pursuits.

Getting help can be intimidating and I recognize that we all have different beliefs regarding therapy. None of us, however, are immune to the struggles or difficulties that life throws our way. So, whether you are a seasoned veteran in the world of therapy, or this would be your first time coming in, I am here to meet you where you are and work collaboratively to get you to a point where you are both progressing and enjoying life. Being multi-racial myself, I am passionate about helping marginalized populations feel safe and comfortable.

One of my all-time favorite quotes is “broken crayons still color”. To understand that you can feel broken and still have value is vital. It means that your worthiness is not based upon the things that have happened to you. Nor is it based upon your mistakes, your outward appearance, or your lack of friendships. The list goes on and on. My personal belief of worthiness means that it applies to ALL and bears no cost, much like the concept of grace. This is a belief I try to bring into all my sessions.

Seeking out therapy can be nerve wracking; opening up to a therapist can be intimidating. I’m aware that this can be a vulnerable experience, and my priority is to make you feel safe and empowered to want to make a change in your life. My goal is to meet you where you are at in life, and provide you unconditional support during your time in therapy.

Finding the right therapist is a deeply personal journey, one that requires trust, empathy, and compatibility. Embarking on the journey of seeking therapy takes immense courage and vulnerability. It's a testament to your strength and resilience that you've recognized the need for support and are taking proactive steps towards healing. I understand that reaching out for help can feel daunting, but please know that you're not alone on this path. In therapy, you'll find a compassionate and nonjudgmental space where you can freely express your thoughts, feelings, and struggles. It's a place where you're heard, understood, and validated.
