I offer Medication management of emotional disorders and psychiatric disorders. I have worked in medicine for nearly 35 years! Family practice, psychiatric medicines, and urgent care. My work history includes critical care at Harborview Medical Center, elsewhere oncology, Native American Tribes, and urgent care on a mobile unit in Central Florida while working with Healthcare for the Homeless. Board-certified in family practice and psychiatric medicines. Also a Doctorate in Nursing Practice.

I earned my Bachelor’s in Biology, my Master of Science (MSN), and my Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP), all from Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, WA.

As a doctoral educated psychiatric nurse practitioner, I am trained with in depth knowledge of psychiatric disorders, pharmacology, and psychotherapeutic interventions coupled with a holistic healthcare approach. My approach to psychiatric care is rooted in empathy and compassion. I believe in treating individuals as unique beings by understanding their life experiences to tailor therapeutic interventions to meet their specific needs to bring them back to wellness. I firmly believe in the power of holistic care, addressing not only the symptoms but also the person as a whole.

I am a double board-certified Harvard-trained child, adolescent, and adult psychiatrist specializing in treating hard-to-treat depression through Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS). For over ten years, I've treated adults and children with a wide range of acute and chronic mental illnesses and implemented TMS into my services when I saw the incredible results my patients were achieving.

The goal of this practice is to provide you personalized treatment using psychotherapy, supplements, and medication, depending upon your individual needs.

Al Jerome (AJ) is a dual board-certified Family & Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner specializing in adult psychiatric medication management. He also offers Medical Weight loss and Nutritional Psychiatry services. He received his Doctoral degree and post-graduate psychiatric mental health certificate at Duke University. He utilizes a holistic, collaborative, and integrative approach to provide personalized, evidence-based, and non-judgmental psychiatric care. AJ highly values a therapeutic provider-client relationship built in trust, respect, and empathy.

Trained as a family and psychiatric nurse practitioner. Master’s trained from the University of Cincinnati and Touro University; also have degrees from Pacific Lutheran University in Nursing and the University of Oklahoma. I have a background in military medicine, and have served populations that have been diverse and underserved. I have also served in case management for Washington State DSHS, working with social workers and caregivers for and in behalf of foster children.

I have 12 years of experience working in family medicine. While working in family medicine, I developed a passion for treating those with mental health conditions and decided I wanted to practice in this area of medicine full time. I am a native of the Pacific Northwest, and earned my undergraduate degree from the University of Oregon. I earned her master’s degree and P.A. education at Rocky Mountain College in Billings, MT.

I am a triple board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, Family Nurse Practitioner, and Adult Psychiatric Clinical Nurse Specialist. I have practiced in various specialties, including community mental health, corrections, and acute inpatient psychiatry.
