My specializations includes Medication Management, Anxiety, Depression, Bipolar Disorder, Postpartum Depression, OCD, schizophrenia and Eating Disorders. Jatoopon Maldonado is a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner with over fifteen years of professional nursing experience in behavioral health encompassing adult, geriatric, emergency, and substance use.

Dr Somorin is triple board certified in Psychiatry, Addiction Psychiatry and Addiction Medicine. He has been listed as a top psychiatrist in the Hudson Valley Magazine yearly from 2006 to 2019. He graduated from Montefiore Medical Center, Bronx NY in August 1999He then completed a one year fellowship in Addiction Psychiatry from Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Bronx NY. He treats clients struggling with anxiety, depression or substance abuse.

Welcome! I’ve been practicing in medicine for two decades; first as an RN, and then as an Adult NP. I worked with clients through depression, anxiety, grief, sleep disorders, pain, and chronic and acute medical conditions, for end of life care, and interventional procedures. After seeing the difficulty my patients were having accessing more specialized mental health care, I decided to advance my degree and completed my Post Masters as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner Across the Lifespan at SUNY Stony Brook. I offer mental health care in NY & CT primarily via telehealth and meet with clients in person on an as needed basis.
