Over the past 14 years, I’ve learned that many people could benefit by seeing a mental health specialist but don’t necessarily want or need to engage in a long-term commitment. Maybe they just need anxiety medication when they give a speech, take a test, or get on a plane. Maybe they’ve moved, or their doctor retired and need refills while they find a new provider. (All meds are prescribed subject to current practice and safety standards).
