As a psychiatric nurse practitioner, I am deeply committed to improving the lives of individuals living with mental illness. I believe that with the right care, support , people can achieve their full potential and lead fulfilling lives. My passion stems from my own experiences with mental health, as well as my desire to make a positive impact in the lives of others. I have a strong background in both nursing and psychiatry, committed to staying current with the latest research, integrative treatments. I am a compassionate and empathetic practitioner who is dedicated to working with my patients to develop individualized treatment.

My goal is to help each person reach his/her maximum potential as a human being. This includes not only relief from troubling symptoms, but also overcoming barriers to living life richly. Often, the troubled past casts a long shadow on the present; understanding and working through these echoes of hurts from long ago can inform and free the person to fully live in the present. I hope to help my patients find the meaning of their lives, improve relationships, free themselves from problems with self esteem, and to live with joy.

I embrace a diverse practice that ranges from adolescents through older adults in all ages and areas. I enjoy helping people that have struggled to find a way to peace and happiness. Perry appreciates listening and learning about a person and building a therapeutic relationship. I work with people who have never taken medications that are new to psychiatric treatment and medication management. I also have the ability to manage difficult complex psychiatric cases.

I approach the clients by understanding each client as a whole person, deep respect for individuals as unique human beings by using a creative process and open-ended communication. I am mindful in prescribing medications. My ultimate treatment goals not only target the treatment of mental health problems, but I will take effort to facilitate clients’ personal growth and improve their vitality.

I am a child, adolescent, & adult psychiatrist, treating a wide range of emotional, behavioral, and relational difficulties. I specialize in problems of mood (depression, bipolar disorder), anxiety (panic attacks, OCD, phobias, generalized anxiety), childhood behavior (ADHD, oppositionality), autism spectrum disorders, and thought disorders. I believe strongly in the importance of psychotherapy as well as the balanced, evidence-based use of medications, where necessary.

Jordan Sloshower, MD, MSc is a board-certified psychiatrist, researcher, and educator specializing in integrative approaches to mental health and psychedelic-assisted therapies. Along with my team at West Rock Wellness, I seek to offer with care and compassion, a spectrum of therapeutic and transformational services that address root causes of suffering. I view conditions, such as depression and anxiety, through a bio-psycho-social-spiritual lens and seek to help clients heal at those various levels.
