I am an adult psychiatrist seeing patients in CA, MA, & NY, trained in neuroscience, psychiatric genetics, and nutritional psychiatry with a vested interest in women’s and perinatal psychiatry. I am dedicated to helping women through difficult transitions like pregnancy, the impact of stressful work environments on health, developing healthy relationships, and managing mental health balance when life requires a different way of operating. I work with women looking to get through unforeseen roadblocks and get them on the path to operating well in their bodies and nervous systems so they can thrive.

Robert McLay is a psychiatrist and pain medicine physician who received board certifications in three areas: General Psychiatry, Pain Medicine, and Psychosomatic Medicine (the overlap between medical and mental health). He has a special focus on military, their families, and high-performance issues, but treats all mental health conditions. Dr. McLay received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from The Johns Hopkins University, and his Ph.D. in neuroscience and M.D. from Tulane University. He received specialty training from Naval Medical Center, the University of California San Diego, and the American Psychoanalytic Association.

Dr. Young is a board-certified psychiatrist serving the communities of Northern San Diego County, with offices conveniently located in Encinitas. He has extensive experience treating children, adolescents, and adults, both in outpatient and acute care settings. Areas of focus include mood and anxiety disorders, addictions, ADHD, psychotic disorders, trauma-related conditions, behavioral disorders, and many others.Primary treatment modalities include psychotherapy and pharmacotherapy, using applied principles of psychodynamic psychiatry, functional medicine, nutrition, healthy relationships, personal development and lifestyle design
