We will start with taking inventory of your medical, psycho-spiritual and socio-cultural needs and decide if medications and/or psychotherapy are indicated. Dr Garb was born and educated in Johannesburg, South Africa. He received his medical and psychiatric training in South Africa and the U.K. He is board.certified in 3 countries, including by the American Board of Psychiatry in 1990. His career has included academic honors and professorial experience, as well as clinical leadership across a broad spectrum of psychiatric services in Johannesburg and Tel Aviv, before being recruited to Houston in 1991. Throughout, Dr Garb has also maintained a well recognized and highly respected private practice wherever he has gone, including his current outpatient practice in Houston.
