Mindfulness and Compassion Based CBT
The Mindfulness and Compassion Based CBT Group teaches participants self compassion and to distance themselves from their thoughts, sensations, perceptions and emotions. This group focuses on the application of distancing and decentering strategies that have been shown to be especially helpful for people with mood disorders. People who suffer from mood problems often lack self-compassion and one aspect of the group will be reducing the negative self-judging/self-critical internal voice.
