I am a person centred counsellor who truly understands how difficult it is to seek out help as I have been there. I offer a warm and comfortable environment for us to work together about whatever life struggles you are experiencing. I work with anyone from aged 15 upwards and couples. I have many and varied experiences including working with trauma, family issues, parenting problems, relationship struggles. I have also worked with Deaf clients and have a basic knowledge of BSL. I specialise in emotional regulation, depression and anxiety. I offer culturally sensitive therapy to individuals, couples and groups.

I've been in private practice since 2011 treating fatigue, issues related to ADHD and ASD, issues related to head injury, trauma, OCD, health anxiety and BDD; but I can help with most difficulties. I have worked a lot with LGBTQ+ communities and am the Chair of the Section of Gender, Sexuality and Relationship Diversity of the British Psychological Society. I work in partnership with a prescriber to offer rapid ADHD diagnosis (meeting NHS/NICE standards) and medication (turnaround often only 5 to 6 weeks).

I work with children, teenagers, adults, couples and relationship counselling. I am a fully qualified counsellor and a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I have worked many other counselling organisations and now as a private counsellor for the last 10 years and taking on referrals from all over the world. I started my studies working with children where I achieved NVQ level 2 and diploma in child care. I also studied and worked on the child grief team for a company. I have over 20 years of mental health training and experience. I am also fluent in British sign language level 6.

As much as it can be wonderful, life can really difficult at times and this can leave us struggling with unwanted thoughts, feelings, and memories. These can easily lead to us getting stuck in a cycle of unhelpful and at times harmful patterns of behaviour that affect ourselves as well as other people. Sometimes we continue in these patterns even when we know they are not helping which can lead to more stress, frustration, and self-criticism.
