In private practice for fifteen years, Dr Cohen Praver, Ph.D., is the author of The New Science of Love: How Understanding Your Brain's Wiring Can Help Rekindle Your Relationship (Sourcebooks: Casablanca, Sept 2011) Daring Wives: Insight into Women's Desires for Extramarital Affairs and Crossroads at Midlife: Your Aging Parents, Your Emotions and Your Self. She created the Angie and Andy Cartoon Trauma Scale and is working on a new book on the psychology and neurobiology of love.

Her television appearances include Good Morning America, WNBC Weekend Today, New York 1, and WLIW and major radio stations across the U.S. and Canada. She has been quoted in the New York Times, Women's Day, Web MD, and Oprah.com.

Dr. Cohen Praver received a B.A. at CW Post, her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at St. John's University, and her Postdoctoral degree in Psychoanalysis and Intensive Psychotherapy at Adelphi University.
