Rohita Atri is a registered psychologist with over 16 years’ experience. Her key interests lie in supporting clients in emotional management, anxiety, stress and depression. Due to working and living in a number of countries, Rohita appreciates the impact of culture in families and can support cross cultural clients navigate through difficulties in adjusting in school or the workplace. Rohita is very experienced in dealing with workplace challenges and also experienced in supporting clients through stress, anxiety and depression.

I am a bilingual (English and Chinese 普通话) counsellor specialise in helping adults and adolescent clients that experience depression, anxiety, grief and loss, culture differences, and relationship difficulties.

Ruku is passionate about working with clients from a diverse range of cultural, social and economic backgrounds. Her practice is empathetic, culturally responsive and trauma informed. She has extensive experience in community and welfare settings and is able to provide psychological assessment and treatment for a wide range of issues. Ruku uses Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution-focused therapy and Mindfulness-based interventions to assist individuals to achieve their goals and increase overall wellbeing. Ruku can provide therapy in English and Hindi.

For reasons that I cannot explain, the more complex the clients needs, the more likely they are to find themselves on my doorstep. Commonly, I have clients tell me in their first session that 'they have many issues and no one else has ever been able to help them before' - this is generally an indication that we will build a lasting relationship. I am patient, very open-minded and laid back in my approach whilst still maintaining professionalism. I have had over 20 years’ experience in the helping professions.
