Because Newport’s philosophy of care views family as central to long-term, sustainable healing, the groundbreaking Attachment-Based Family Therapy (ABFT) methodology is also a central component of our approach. ABFT is proven to be successful in addressing adolescent and young adult suicidality by repairing ruptures in the parent-child relationship. We offer an affordable THOR (Transitional Housing for Offender Re-Entry) Approved Christ-Centered 12+ month intensive program for men 18+. Our fees are intentionally kept affordable. Eligible men can start working after 90 days into the program. However, prior to that, they are not allowed to work outside of the house due to the intensive nature of our treatment. The Cottages on Mountain Creek, licensed by the state and accredited by the Joint Commission, provides a holistic approach for stabilization and reintegration back into society for adults living with a Mental Health diagnosis (Schizophrenia, Bipolar, OCD, Major Depression and Anxiety, as well as other mental health diagnoses). The Cottages also has a 4th-year Resident Rotation with the Depart. of Psychiatry of a major Teaching Hospital. Programming includes a 24/7 residential treatment program as well as transitional independent living housing (mental health) which includes case management. We also offer day programming, as well as an out-patient drug and alcohol program (separate program from the mental health program). Additional services include assistance with helping our clients obtain employment. Programming for seniors includes depression and anxiety, Behavioral Health Care and Memory Loss (documented and outcome driven). Individual therapy includes CBT, DBT/RO-DBT, EMDR and PTSD. The discovery of recovery is an experience that includes group challenge, personal responsibility and brotherhood. Purple's research proven, intensive, 4-6 month residential program promotes successful long-term recovery through its gradual step down in intensity prior to independent apartment living. The clients are immersed into a recovering community of graduates (alumni) and staff, responding to client needs in real time. Each person participates in daily morning reflection, life skills development and five weekly intensive group sessions that provide an opportunity to address addiction issues and to mark their progress in their recovery plan.
