Ruth Gotian, Ed.D., is an assistant professor of education in anesthesiology at Weill Cornell Medical College. She researches the secrets to success found in extreme high achievers and helps those who are unfulfilled improve and unlock their own potential.

She was named on the Thinkers50 Radar list (the Oscars of management thinking) and awarded the Thinkers50 Radar Award, given to the #1 emerging management thinker in the world. She has published in such journals as Harvard Business Review, Forbes, Nature, Scientific American, Academic Medicine and co-edited a book on the systems and programs in medical education. Her latest book, The Success Factor, is on extreme high achievers, including Nobel Prize winners, astronauts, Olympic athletes, and NBA champions.

She earned her doctorate at Teachers College Columbia University, where she studied Adult Learning and Leadership, her B.S. and M.S. in Business Management from the University at Stony Brook, and certificates in Executive Leadership and Managing for Execution from Cornell University.
