Gil Winch, Ph.D., is the author of Winning with Underdogs: How Hiring the Least Likely Candidates Can Spark Creativity, Improve Service, and Boost Profits for Your Business. He is also the founder of Call Yachol, a unique 100 percent underdog company comprised primarily of people with severe disabilities. His TED Talk, How We Can Use the Hiring Process to Bring Out the Best in People, was filmed during the pandemic in 2020. Winch is the recipient of numerous awards for social entrepreneurship and in 2011 was chosen by Israel’s leading economic newspaper, The Marker, as one of the 100 biggest influencers on the Israeli economy. He earned his Ph.D. in psychology from Tel Aviv University in Israel, where he lives with his wife and two Vizslas.
