Daniel Fryer, M.Sc., MBSCH, is a rational emotive behaviour therapist (REBT) and clinical hypnotherapist with over 15 years’ experience in helping people deal with life blocks and emotional problems, including anxiety disorders, work-related stress, anger management, self-esteem, confidence issues, chronic pain conditions and more.

He works in private practice and for the Priory Hospital Bristol. He also offers online therapy, where he has seen people from both the USA and Europe. Prior to moving to Bristol in 2016, he worked for over 10 years as a therapist in London, where he ran successful clinics in several central London locations. He was also a specialist at the Royal Brompton Hospital, (treating people presenting with the psychogenic pain condition Cardiac Syndrome X) and a consultant for the occupational health division of a private healthcare company.

He holds a B.A. (Hons.) in journalism and sociology and an M.Sc. in rational-emotive and cognitive behaviour therapy. He also holds diplomas in clinical hypnotherapy and cognitive behavioural hypnotherapy.

A former journalist, he has written articles and features for various magazines and newspapers and has also featured as a quoted source in many other articles and features. He has lectured on college courses, delivered workshops and has spoken and public and private events on a variety of mental health and wellbeing topics. He runs therapy groups on REBT, clinical hypnotherapy and positive psychology.

He’s even accidentally turned his dog, a rescue from Battersea Dogs and Cats Home, into a semi-famous therapy dog who has appeared in magazine features and news articles of her own. She often works alongside Daniel in his various clinics and positions.
