I am a Clinical Psychologist in private practice and offer supportive short-term and long-term psychotherapy that is psychodynamically-informed. I provide a safe and empathetic space for adults, adolescents, and couples to explore their difficulties and desire for self-development. I believe that everyone can benefit from therapy and endeavour to facilitate a process that uncovers the conscious and unconscious motivations and defense mechanisms that maintain a client’s struggles and unhealthy relational patterns.
Developing self-awareness and self-actualization is an ongoing and difficult process. I aim to help clients get in touch with their authentic selves by exploring and understanding their feelings and inner world so that they can work through their difficulties, trauma, and loss and develop a stronger sense of self.
Some of my areas of interest include anxiety and stress, workplace difficulties and burn-out, depression and self-harm, trauma and stressor-related disorders, bipolar and related disorders, personality disorders, schizophrenia and psychotic disorders, substance and addictive disorders, relationship and adjustment problems, bereavement, couples counselling.
